Corowa Medical Centre, a new purpose built medical centre co-located with community health and the Corowa Hospital, is seeking a Locum General Practitioner to provide patient-centered care to the local community for the Month of April 2018.
Remuneration/Accomodation/travel requirments are negotiable.
The clinic is open Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5:30pm, with short emergency clinics over the weekend.
Corowa Medical Centre is a long standing well established practice in the Corowa region.
Corowa Medical Centre also hosts an onsite pathology service with Dorevitch, Dietitian, Diabetic Educator, Asthma Educator, Podiatrist, National hearing, and Paediatrician consulting onsite.

Corowa Medical Centre, a new purpose built medical centre co-located with community health and the Corowa Hospital, is seeking a Vocationally Registered General Practitioner to provide patient-centered care to the local community.
Due to the recent departure of a GP, the new GP can expect to be busy from Day 1 and take over an established patient base. You will be fully supported by our full team, including a large team of quality experienced Practice Nurses, Doctors, Practice Manager and friendly full time administration support.
This position also offers an opportunity to work in the satellite clinic in neighbouring Rutherglen, as well as the local aged care facilities and join the VMO roster for the Local Hospital. The opportunities here are abundant, and varied.

Corowa Medical Centre is a large GP practice in the township of Corowa, located on the beautiful Murray River with a branch clinic located just across the border in Rutherglen. We are a highly regarded, QPA accredited, General Practice providing Comprehensive Medical Care since 1904.
We are currently seeking an Administration Team Leader to join Corowa Medical Centre, leading all of our Administration staff across both of our sites.
In addition to joining the front-line team, providing exceptional customer service in person and over the phone, the Administration Team Leader will work closely with the Practice Manager and Clinical Team Leader as a key driver of continuous system improvement and change management, the role will also provide leadership to the administration team offering direction, inspiration and staff development under the banner of Corowa Medical Centres mission and values.
This role plays a critical part in liaising between Administration staff and the Practice Manager, Nurses and Doctors and thus plays a pivotal role in communication of the administration directives and objectives of the practice.
Skills and experience
The Successful candidate will:
Demonstrate experience in leading, coaching, or mentoring other team members.
Pride themselves on their meticulous attention to detail.
Be able to balance competing priorities and tasks while ensuring timely service.
Be able to liaise with all of the internal and external stakeholders
Have experience in team orientation with excellent communication skills
A caring and collaborative approach to customer service
Previous experience in a similar role (2IC, Team Leader, etc.)
An understanding of business operations in the healthcare industry
Previous experience with medical software.
A knowledge of MBS item numbers, and billing systems
Must be flexible with hours of work, as our Clinics are open from 7.45am-6pm. Some Weekend Work may be required.
This Position will be based in Corowa, however you may be required to work in the branch Practice of Rutherglen.
