The incidence of 'adult-onset' diabetes in Australia is increasing rapidly, in concert with the rest of the western world. It is critical to patients and the health of the nation that diabetes is optimally managed, and we offer services to assist you.

A service of particular importance is the commencement of insulin in adult-onset diabetics when necessary, and this often obviates the need to attend specialists and the hospital.
We also recommend that all diabetics undergo a formal annual review ('check-up') here at the practice - please ask your doctor for more information. If you are a diabetic and have been regularly attending our practice, you may receive a letter from us about this.

Tip: The most important thing that you can do to help your doctor look after you is to monitor and record your blood sugar levels in the home - ask us how if you are not already doing this.

Pam Ling is our Diabetes Educator. An appointment with Pam can be made through our reception staff and a referral is required. Pam works with both Type I & Type II diabetes.

Our Dietician's name is Kerryn. Please phone our reception staff for an appointment.

Chloe will work with you and your Doctor to provide the best dietry plan specifically for you
