Privacy Policy Print
All patients’ personal information is stored on computer with password access by your doctor.  The older hand written paper files and associated attachments are stored for a period of seven years after death or from last contact as dictated by law.  All personal files are stored away from public access or direct view, in a coded filing system approved by the RACGP.

In compliance with the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000, we have developed a Privacy Policy that governs the handling of your personal information.

"Personal Information means information or an opinion (including information or an opinion forming part of a database), whether true or not, and whether recorded in a material form or not, about an individual whose identity is apparent or can reasonably be ascertained, from the information or opinion."  (Source: P57 Guidelines on Privacy in the Private Health Sector, Office of the Federal Privacy Commissioner – October 2001).
